About the Process Selector

An independent recommendation tool for industrial parts cleaning.

The Fraser Technologies Process Selector is a guided recommendation tool that helps engineers, production managers and procurement teams identify the right industrial cleaning process for their parts. Rather than starting with a machine or a chemistry and working backwards, it starts with the application - the soils you are removing, the materials you are cleaning, the cleanliness standard you must meet, the geometry of the parts, the constraints of your site and the realities of your budget - and works forward to a recommendation grounded in those answers.

It is built for people who specify, buy or maintain cleaning processes: manufacturing and process engineers working out a first cleaning line, quality teams responding to rework or failed validation, procurement building a business case, and operations managers adding capacity or replacing a process that has reached its limit. The eleven questions cover the factors that genuinely separate aqueous, fluorinated and modified alcohol routes, and the result lays out the trade-offs - what each route does well, what it gives up, and where the cost actually sits - rather than presenting a single answer in isolation.

The tool is built and maintained by Fraser Technologies, a specialist supplier of precision cleaning chemistry and equipment based in Livingston, Scotland. Fraser supplies aqueous wash systems, fluorinated and modified alcohol solvent plant, and the chemistry that runs in them, and operates a trial facility where parts can be tested against real contamination and a real cleanliness standard before any commitment is made. The recommendation you receive is indicative guidance to narrow the field - not a specification - and is intended to start a conversation with an engineer who can put real numbers against your particular duty cycle.
